The project is sponsored by the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS) and will be carried out at IIT Roorkee’s Saharanpur Campus under Principal Investigator Prof. Abhijit Maiti.

IIT Roorkee JRF Salary 2026
The selected candidate will receive:

| SRF after successful completion of 2 years | ₹42,000 per month |
The JRF position is initially for 2 years. After successful completion, the candidate may be promoted to SRF for another 6 months. The overall project duration is approximately 2.5 years or up to the duration of the project.

IIT Roorkee JRF Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates should possess the required postgraduate qualification in engineering or science. Preference will be given to applicants having relevant knowledge of ceramic membranes, porous materials, water treatment, membrane processes and separation technology.
A valid GATE/NET score is desirable.

Knowledge or research experience in ceramic membrane preparation, porous materials, mass transfer, water treatment and separation technology will be preferred.
