IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates must be Indian citizens and satisfy the educational qualification, age and experience requirements for the post selected. Local language proficiency is important, particularly for Office Assistant and Officer Scale I posts.
IBPS RRB Educational Qualification 2026
Office Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Local language knowledge is required and computer knowledge is desirable.
Officer Scale I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Officer Scale II – General Banking Officer: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and minimum two years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
Officer Scale II – Specialist Officer: Relevant professional/technical qualification in IT, Law, CA, Treasury, Marketing or Agriculture along with prescribed experience.
Officer Scale III: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and at least five years’ experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
IBPS RRB Selection Process 2026
- Office Assistant: Preliminary Exam + Main Exam
- Officer Scale I: Preliminary Exam + Main Exam + Interview
- Officer Scale II & III: Single Online Examination + Interview
Officer Scale I prelims are scheduled for 21 & 22 November 2026, while Office Assistant prelims will be held on 6, 12 & 13 December 2026.
