Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the ISRO Recruitment 2026 for Assistant, Upper Division Clerk (UDC), Junior Personal Assistant (JPA) and Stenographer posts. After the corrigendum issued on 11 August 2026, the total number of vacancies has increased to 267 posts.
ISRO Assistant UDC JPA Recruitment 2026 Full Description
ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) is inviting online applications for administrative and stenography posts at ISRO Centres and Department of Space units. The online application process started on 27 July 2026 and will close on 20 August 2026. The tentative Written Test/CBT date is 21 September 2026.

Some vacancies are specifically identified for units such as IIRS Dehradun, NARL Gadanki and DOS Branch Secretariat, New Delhi. Selected candidates may also be posted or transferred to ISRO/Department of Space Centres as per organisational requirements.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
The maximum age limit is 28 years as on 20 August 2026.
- OBC Candidates: Up to 31 years where posts are reserved
- SC/ST Candidates: Up to 33 years where posts are reserved
- PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Government employees and other eligible categories: Relaxation as per Government of India rules.
ISRO Assistant UDC Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
For Assistant and Upper Division Clerk, candidates must have:
- Graduation with minimum 60% marks, or
- CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale
- Graduation must have been completed within the prescribed course duration.
- Proficiency in computer usage is required.
ISRO JPA Stenographer Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
For Junior Personal Assistant and Stenographer, candidates need Graduation with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.32, or an eligible Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with the prescribed marks.
Diploma candidates require one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer. Candidates must also have a minimum speed of 60 words per minute in English stenography and computer proficiency.
ISRO Recruitment 2026 Salary
All advertised posts are placed in Level 4 of the Pay Matrix.

ISRO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Written Examination / CBT
- Skill Test
- Document Verification
The Skill Test is qualifying in nature. Final selection will be based on marks obtained in the written examination among candidates who qualify the Skill Test.
