Applications started on 7 August 2026 and will close on 6 September 2026 at 6:00 PM. Candidates without the required Scouts & Guides qualification should not apply.

Eastern Railway Scouts and Guides Salary 2026

Selected candidates will also receive applicable Railway allowances as per rules. The notification places these posts in 7th CPC Pay Level-2 and Level-1 respectively.
Eastern Railway Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2027.
- Level-2: 18 to 30 years
- Level-1: 18 to 33 years
- OBC candidates receive up to 3 years relaxation.
- SC/ST candidates receive up to 5 years relaxation.
- PwBD, Ex-servicemen and other eligible categories get relaxation as per Railway rules.
Eastern Railway Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
For Level-2, candidates should have passed 12th with at least 50% marks, or 10th with NAC/ITI approved by NCVT. The 50% requirement is relaxed for specified categories and candidates with higher qualifications.
For Level-1, candidates should have passed 10th, ITI, equivalent qualification or NAC granted by NCVT.
Eastern Railway Scouts and Guides Eligibility 2026
Candidates must also be a President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger or Himalayan Wood Badge holder, have been an active Scout organisation member for the last five years, and have attended the prescribed National/All India Railways and State-level events.
Eastern Railway Selection Process 2026
Selection includes a Written Test for 60 marks followed by assessment of Scouts & Guides certificates for 40 marks. The written examination has 40 objective questions and one essay question. Candidates finally recommended will also undergo Railway medical examination.
