The job locations are Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. Candidates should choose the State carefully because applications are permitted for only one State.
IOB Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 Age Limit
Candidates should be between 20 and 30 years of age as on 1 August 2026. Applicants must have been born between 2 August 1996 and 1 August 2006, both dates inclusive.
Age relaxation is available as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Persons affected by 1984 riots: 5 years
- Eligible Ex-servicemen/Commissioned Officers: 5 years
IOB LBO Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.
The candidate must possess a valid graduation marksheet or degree certificate on the date of online registration.
IOB Local Bank Officer Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the prescribed nationality, age and educational qualification requirements. They should also be able to read, write and speak the local language of the State for which they apply.
Candidates who studied the specified local language in Class 10 or Class 12 will not be required to take the Language Proficiency Test. Others shortlisted for further selection must qualify in the LPT.

The basic pay scale is ₹48,480-2000/7-62,480-2340/2-67,160-2680/7-85,920. Selected candidates will also receive DA, HRA, CCA and other benefits according to bank rules.
IOB LBO Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through:
- Online Examination
- Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable
- Personal Interview
The online examination carries 200 marks, while the Personal Interview carries 100 marks. For final selection, the Online Exam and Interview are given weightage in the ratio of 80:20.
