Overview
The TGPSC DEO recruitment is for Deputy Educational Officers / Gazetted Head Master Grade-I posts in the School Education Department, Telangana. Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
- Age Limit: 18 to 44 years as of 1 July 2026, with relaxations for SC/ST/BC/EWS (5 years), Physically Handicapped (10 years), Telangana Government employees (up to 5 years), and Ex-Servicemen as per rules.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a UGC-recognized university with subjects eligible for B.Ed admission.
- Postgraduate Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates).
- Degrees obtained via Distance Education must be recognized by UGC/AICTE/DEB.
Reservation and Local Status
- Reservations apply for SC, ST, BC, EWS, Persons with Disabilities, Women, and Meritorious Sportspersons as per Telangana State rules.
- 95% of vacancies are reserved for local candidates of the respective multi-zones. Local status is determined based on study/residence criteria.

- Qualifying Marks: OC/EWS/Sports – 40%, BC – 35%, SC/ST/PH – 30%.
