SBI PO Recruitment 2026 Probationary Officer Job Description
An SBI Probationary Officer is appointed at the Junior Management Grade Scale-I level. The officer receives training and practical exposure to different banking functions during the initial period.
Responsibilities may include supervising branch operations, assisting customers, opening and maintaining accounts, processing loans, handling deposits, supporting digital banking services, verifying documents, monitoring transactions and helping the branch achieve business targets.
The officer may also evaluate loan applications, promote banking products, supervise clerical staff and ensure compliance with SBI rules and regulatory guidelines.
